1. Missing the fresh air and greenery? Follow this link to order seeds and plants ranging from herbs to vegetables to flowers. Have them delivered right to your doorstep so you can grow plants in your own home!

2. Make a terrarium in your home or a miniature garden!

How To Make the DIY Terrarium:

Step 1: Find a clear vase, bowl, or cup

Step 2: The next time you go outside, collect gravel or rocks to fill the bottom of the container

Step 3: Gather sticks, leaves, and plants to put inside

Step 4: Add little toys to live in the terrarium

Step 5: Add colorful marbles, shells, sea glass or rocks you have at home

Step 6: Place it in a spot you see every day--now you have nature with you at home!

3. Indoor Picnic

Missing going to the park and having some snacks? Have an indoor picnic at home! Set your space up with a blanket and lay out treats for a sweet time. See below for some fun ideas.

Brrrrrr -- Winter Picnic!

It may be cold outside, but inside it's cozy and warm! Pack your picnic area with comforting blankets and pillows and enjoy winter essentials like hot chocolate. You've never been cozier! Throw on a scarf if you're feeling festive.

Summer Fun!

Throw on your swimsuits kids because summer is here! What says summer like hot dogs and lemonade? Grab a spray bottle for a fun surprise and mist your children when they aren't expecting it. Who says you can't bring the pool inside?

Soccer season!

Have a little sports fan who's missing soccer practice? Put out a picnic with game-day essentials like Gatorade, peanuts, and popcorn. Throw on an old game in the background for ambiance, or watch an epic game on tv!

4. Make it mini: Challenge yourself to make a miniature version of something using household objects. This person transformed their potted plants into a miniature version of a cottage house. So cute!

5. Design a pet: It can be nice to care for something, even if it isn't real. Have kids take an object like a rock or stick from the garden and decorate it like their dream pet. To make use of inside objects, wrap anything in paper and draw on it with washable marker. Instant pet! This will help children feel connected to another being, even at a time when other people can feel far away. Tip: as a bonus activity, have them call their friends and introduce their pets to one another!
